"I started sellin' the first 16-track "Urban Myth" cd at shows around 2005, which led to this 2008 "Revisited" version. Most of the songs here are from the late '90s to mid-2000s. I call it uneven, cause it includes stuff from the last 2-3 years as well as some really old stuff. Altogether, the material here spans almost 15 years; good stuff though and there's a story behind every track."

Track Name: Invisible Ink/No ID epilude
Written by Jeff Baraka (O Type Star) for Slangri-La Music.
Produced by No ID for Face The Music.

The soul inside is strong for you, ‘specially when you need it most…
and the dedicated long for you, like an Urban Myth or ghost.
So hold on to your principles, though sometimes they’re hard to feel…
cause your ink remains invisible, ‘til as time to be revealed.

See I sit up in my room and write, look out the window at the bright lights and city night… and catch a feelin’. See I’m a poet and an mc, I channel spirits of the ones that came before me. I feel the cityfied flavor, the funk that keeps comin’, that stink from the Wild Onion… or anywhere where life is hectic, organic/electric, so much unexpected, but we balance perfected. Poetic, I enlighten and heighten the dark view, bittersweet like the taste of my dark brew. Damn boo- I see you, shaped up like an hourglass, reminds me that time is slippin’, waits for no man. So I’ma reset the clock and the program. Chill babygirl with a slow jam, we got a second. Recharge in this moment while we in it, ‘til I’m gone to make a dollar outta 15 minutes.

[chorus]

It was all a fantasy, I used to read rap magazines and wanna be Rakim & Public Enemy. Now I’m finna be -back up on my grind, with this money on my mind and I aim to win. Still outside lookin’ in, grown rap hustlin’, overused word again, cause I’m back on it. (Been) rippin’ in the city since ’91, and crossin’ up rap fools like Iverson. Baby, I be one -of a vanishing breed. What I bleed is invisible ink you gotta think to read -til it transmits fluidly… with my heartfelt hip hop fluency. I bend words to make rhymes and currency, and put the thump in yo trunk with a true mc. Homey who I be? That Urban Myth from the Behind The Music documentary of Chi-town hip-hop.

[chorus]
